We kicked off the holiday season here at Liberty Church with an attitude of gratitude and generosity. Here’s a recap of recent events and initiatives that have allowed us to grow together while reaching out to those in need.
2022 Liberty Thanksgiving Dinner
The New Fellowship Hall was filled with the aroma of delicious foods and the hum of conversations from church members as they fellowshipped with one another. We enjoyed an amazing meal of baked and smoked turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, dressing, salad and rolls, all prepared by our gifted hospitality team in the church kitchen. Desserts were provided by congregation members and included blackberry cobbler, cookies, chocolate cake and cream cheese treats. We are thankful for this opportunity to celebrate together and praise God for his many blessings!
Operation Christmas Child
This year the Liberty congregation assembled and donated 106 shoe boxes to the Samaritan’s Purse holiday initiative. Each year, churchgoers take boxes and do their own shopping, filling the boxes with age-appropriate items for boys and girls who might not otherwise receive a Christmas gift. Boxes are collected on Thanksgiving Sunday and delivered to the local area collection point. Liberty has participated in the shoe box program for more than ten years, and it gives us great joy to bless children all over the world.
We hope you’ll join us for even more fun as the holidays unfold this December. Check out our Christmas event roundup for more information!
