A Special Sunday
We are joyful and thankful for Pastor Hank Fulk, who was recently ordained and set in as Lead Pastor of Liberty Church Du Quoin.
He was was ordained into Global Alliance Networks (formerly Liberty Fellowship) on Sunday, July 11. We were honored that the president of Global Alliance Networks, Pastor David Kerr from Arlington, Texas, officiated the ordination. He also preached a special message, titled “No Battle Plan, No Victory.”
“I know that, in God, there is a victory for whatever is coming against you,” Pastor Kerr declared.
Preaching from Joshua’s account of the battle of Jericho, Pastor Kerr gave the congregation strategies for life’s battles. The message concluded with a faith-filled triumphant shout of victory, an exciting transition to Pastor Fulk’s ordination.

A Joyous Ordination
“In an ordination ceremony, we are primarily acknowledging that God has already called a person into this position,” Pastor Kerr explained. He then invited our elders and pastoral team to come to the altar to pray over Pastor Fulk and his wife, Marie.
Pastor Fulk is a Southern Illinois native, having grown up in Du Quoin. “God granted me grace and repentance in April 2010,” he says of his salvation. He met Marie three months after that, they married in June 2011, and since then, they have been blessed with four wonderful kids. Their family enjoys playing music, softball and baseball, and playing with cameras.
As Pastor Fulk officially steps into this new leadership role, Pastor Lon McPherson now holds the honorable title of Founding Pastor. He and his wife, Gloria, remain on our pastoral leadership team.
